The setting sun lights up this face of the mountain under the right conditions. Especially with a storm looming behind it. And fortunately, with the storms coming and going, there are still plenty of Aspen leafs and scrub oak colors to be found.
Can only do this a couple times a year in that spot... And it seems a fundamental rule of light is there is only a 10 minute window or so in the morning or evening when it really intensifies...
