Do it...
I had a 7D and a 5D II. Loved the former (bought on release week in 2009) for how robust it was and and AF that almost never failed! Hated the later for piss poor non center AF point performance!
The D750 is a perfect in between for me.
Beautiful and almost finished looking raw files when using a Sigma Art lens. Great AF although the edges need more contrast to lock compared to the 7D which had cross type sensors on all points.
Auto ISO works in M unlike the 5D2.
Only dislike is the D-Pad. Not as effective as a joystick or at least could be much bigger!

This was shot with a white sheet as the backdrop in my home with one speed light camera right at 1/125 at f/8, and ISO 100 with a Wescott Halo as the modifier. Great modifier BTW! I use an 85mm 1.8.
