There were very clear clues leading to McNamara as the poster early on as I found when I looked around a bit. (He dropped the biggest one himself.) I never went past that though, unlike the author of the piece at the link.
Reminds me of something that I believe I read in a book by Colin Fletcher ("The Complete Walker") many years ago. To paraphrase: "When in doubt, doubt."

They were not even clues, as the word "clues" implies that something was uncertain/unknown/mysterious. However, his name and photo are in his FM profile, just a single click away (and his portrait has been his avatar for a long time ). And it's been so since long before this 1DsX 46MP post .
