Steve, mine did not have any cardboard forms either. It was as yours, wrapped in bubble wrap in the box.
FWIW, I'll take bubble wrap over cardboard...any day of the week. Additional
cushioning with the included pouch made for an excellent unboxing experience.

Oh I agree, I wasn't complaining about it. It was not a small amount of bubble wrap in my case either, the box was well packed.

Agree - Now wish I would have done an unboxing video
i just canceled my pre-order with B+H. I bought a Used one from adorama, hope it wasnt a typo, well it shouldnt be for the price. maybe someone bought one and returned it after they found it wouldnt work on an older lens they had?
I just stacked the 1.4 and 2x and it does auto focus decently it would be fine for static subjects and possibly slow bif if your focus is already in the area. It struggled a bit in the shadow but that's to be expected and was slightly jittery at times. Iq wise it looks darn good, I did try to stack the 2x on the tc14e ii before and it was not even worth using you would be better off cropping, but the new version has potential.
Obviously this really only has merrit to 3 lenses possibly. The 300mm 2.8, 200mm f2, and the 400mm 2.8. I would be interested to see someone try this setup on the new 400mm f2.8e for a 1120 mm lens.
I am going to mess with the combo a bit more to see if it is even something that is reliable enough to use even on rare instances when I have enough light and really need reach and static subject
