I've been envisioning this shot for a long time, and finally had the opportunity to use the local public swimming pool for an hour after it closed one evening. I put out a casting call and ended up with four models showing up, two more than I wanted. Since i only had an hour to work, that cut into my time to adjust the lights, move them around, etc. I did end up get more shots of them more out of the water, but these were the ones I was focused on.
I shot them at three levels, as I wasn't sure which ones I would like. I posted the highest and lowest levels, and then I shot at another level where the water level was between their nose and mouth. These are the two I liked the best, but like fingerda, I like the first one best as well.
Delightful photos ... Nice to have a public pool at your command
I like the second shot the best ... however I think it might look better as a "long horizontal -- cropped just at the top of your watermark and somewhat above her head. YMMV.
Thanks, Tony. Nice thought about the long horizontal crop. I tend to only crop at 2x3 or 4x5 aspect ratios, occasionally 1x1, whenever there's a likelihood of it going to print. And I do that mostly because I think of it conventionally. But this would look much nicer with the crop you suggested.
Three Einsteins. Main light is camera right with a large softbox. Both the other Einsteins were behind her at 45 degrees, gridded. My issue is that she was pretty far from the lights so it couldn't be as soft as I would have liked, but I thought it still worked pretty nicely.
Thanks, guys! Yeah, nabate, I have another similar shot with two other models in at the same time. Didn't like them as much, but it may have been the expressions on the models.

I assume they showed up with their parents? Can't be more than 16
haha! First one is 19, and yes, her Mom still showed up. I've been taking photos for their family for years. Second one is 25 or so, did her wedding earlier this year. Doing a Trash the Dress session with her this morning.
Nice work Ron! Isn't there a feature film where Arnold Schwarzenegger or Stallone or someone comes out of the lake with a knife between their teeth and a painted face? The second shot reminds of that for some reason
