man that 300 2.8 just melts away the back ground and foreground for sure. great set as i'm sure you got a workout here.

Oh the joys of photographing your own family! I am always looking for a photographer to swap sessions with in my area as the tripod is just not cutting to for me. I love the colors in these!

Good workout for sure. There are times I want to trade the 300mm for the 200mm f2, but I shoot wildlife as well and just can't bring myself to trade. Thanks for commenting!

This is the only family shoot I have done that turned out. It definitely isn't easy to get your kids to cooperate! Thanks!

What a wonderful set ! You have a lovely family and it is great seeing how much fun the children were getting out of it

The 300/2.8 is a spectacular portrait lens (I've even used it with a x2.0 on it to simply smoke the BG) ! That and the 135/2 DC are my favourites.

The only nit-pick is I'd obliterate that bough coming across from the right in a few shots - should be easy since it is totally in the BG blur.

Great shots and congrats on being featured at the top of the page!!!

Did you add any front lighting? For example, #2 and #3 seem like the faces are really well exposed and the background isn't blown out. Just curious.
