I've always loved and have been fascinated by soulful close-up portraits. Nothing fancy - just a simple, genuine portrait. Now that I have more free time on my hands, I get to explore these interests more often. Here are a couple images I took of 2 of my children. These were taken using natural light and my 85L.
Thank you, Evan! Yes - my garage. Here's a pullback, albeit not a very good one. I should have put on a wider angle lens to take it but I was lazy and didn't want to go back into the back bedroom to get it. lol She angled herself out toward me while I was standing in the driveway to take this and switched her hands to the other side, so just imagine her sitting more angled into the garage and me over there on the side sitting on the cooler. haha
Thank you! I do enhance the lighting a little bit in post but it's really just playing up what's already there a bit. Making it a little more dramatic.
