Thanks for the write-up Jman.

I already own a NEX6, and needed AF and a bit of reach. Found an 18-105 used at B&H for under$500. Might be just the ticket!

Nice to see a decent review of the 16-70. A couple of the early reviews had some decentering problems and now this lens has become, i feel like, the most controversial lens on the internet and has got an (unfair) horrendous reputation on many forums.

I personally have one and I believe it's a very good zoom.

Well, I did the original comparison 3 years ago...I no longer have the 18-105, and the 16-70 was a review sample.
