I got pretty down on this lens when I was trying to use it with my D800 for candid shots - i.e., non tripod, on-the-fly shots where using LiveView was not practical and even then the results were not good.
With the A7RII I find that obtaining critical focus is a tiny tiny tiny adjustment of the focusing ring which I can get with the A7RII at 100% focusing in the EVF - the D800, even with live view, was a lost cause.
Hard to tell in the images below, but at 100% what I wanted to be in focus/sharp actually is.
Is it the best ~200mm prime, well not quite as my 180/3.4 APO Telyt beats it by a hair, but it's pretty darned good at 42.5MP when you can get it focused right.

Just was browsing the Voightlander website, seems that the 20mm 3.5 SL II and 28mm 2.8 SL II are both out of production.
No loss with the 20/3.5. Back when I was using a D300, I tried two copies of the 20/3.5 and both of them were significantly less sharp than my 16-85 zoom lens at F5.6 and F8. I was very disappointed.
