Other than you slightly missed the butta-fly you nailed the rest
#1.....That has class and a sinister look to it Birdie. Love those eyes!
#2 I think I'd make a trip to Texas just for this one bird.........I think these PB's are incredible. I like the throat area where the red/blue mingles and mixes as it has a 3D look to it. Maybe I would pull back the BG intensity as it seems a bit competitive to the wonderful colors on the bird?
#3 Yikes.......I likes! Wowza, excellent contrast on color, great BG for this bird to pop off of. I favor less reflection and bit more BG above
#4 What a rock star this one is Lovely color Roberta.....again I favor less reflection, it pulls me away a bit from the head/eye at times
#5 Not a very happy looking bird but an excellent picture of it Ohhh I love the quality of light here and those greens are nice
#6 Sweet tortoise! These creatures have so much character and you got this one good. The cool tones of the very diffused reflection I really like and maybe would bias my foreground more in this shot and less BG which is the same hue as the shell. This one seems a wee bit centered for me
#7 Love what the light did for the detail, so often I see these posted in such harsh light that much of the quality of detail is lost..........this is a nice turned head shot!
Love the shots Birdie and these prove that an optimum shooting angle can add a great deal of drama to a shot. You really must have taking a liking to this shooting gallery as you pulled a lot of goodness from it
