I'm a bit lazy and am going to just link to my exposure page rather than posting images in my post. There are lots.

Cormorant Choked to death on a fish. The rest is documented.

Exposure Link

Thanks for looking!

That's as many eagles as I see in a year! Nice job on taking advantage of the situation. I especially like the inflight pair.

Wow, what an action sequence, somewhat poetic justice for the Commorant. That first shot is a killer.

Thanks for looking everyone.

Are any of the eagles golden? I thought they might have been just juvi balds, but a friend says some of them are gold.

Thanks again!

Interesting shots, although I would say it is an assumption to claim that the Cormie died from swallowing the fish.

Thanks all!

Yes, for sure an assumption. Makes for a better story and it sure looks like that.

I'm pretty sure that the non-white headed eagles are golden eagles. Though I thought golden eagles were a bit bigger.

Thanks!

All the books I have say that juvi bald eagles look very similar to gold eagles depending on their age. Juvi's have slightly larger wing spans than a mature and longer beaks. From all the white feather markings, they all look like Juvi bald's to me after more research, but I'm not very good at this kind of thing. Also Gold eagles have feathers on their legs that extend right to their toes with no ankle showing. These eagles all have a bit of ankle.

Still curious though. Thanks for your thoughts.

No, they are juvenile bald eagles.
