Very cool shots. Kinda curious how you got access to the geyser. When I looked into going there some years ago, access was virtually impossible since it was on private property and the owners didn't want a bunch of photographers milling around. Has that changed?
FWIW...I like the green pools. To my eye, it makes the image more unique.

Thanks Jack, I am glad you liked the green pool version. As for getting onto there, nothing has changed, it's the same policy, that's why I said I was able to get onto there from a friend of a friend of a friend. I guess I should have added a friend of the family that owns the property. So I was just totally fortunate to have the right connection of friends who in the end are old friends with the family.
Both are terrific, but, sorry, Sonny, but I like No. 2 a lot better.
The scene is otherworldly enough and the green pool seems to be piling on. Plus green pool distracts a little from the geyser, which is the main event. I think No. 2 has enough nice, little bonus features -- the cloud movement, stars and splash of light on the horizon.
This is a less-is-more choice for me.
Glenn
Thanks Glenn, it's great to have a few votes for the non-green version also, just so that I know I am not totally crazy!
One word "wow"... Just an amazing capture... Both are unique, the green does add a little bit more flavor to the image.... I'll pick that one, #1, as the favorite but the second one is just a hair behind...
Outstanding capture... both the versions. I like the green pool a wee bit more, it's somehow a bit more mystic. However, the sky in this version has a magenta tone which I don't like. Nevertheless, both are stunning!
