Hey guys, first time posting here. Been lurking for a long while. There are a bunch of fantastic images in this thread and it is giving me some serious GAS! I noticed several of you have 2 of the 3 or all 3 Sigma's. My question is which of them would you grab if you were starting over and were only going to get one for the time being? I am more into landscape photography but I kind of like the compressed view of a longer lens as well and I don't mind stitching images together if I need to go a little wider. I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to ask the question.
I recently bought a 2nd hand DP2S as a light, good camera for motorcycle tankbag and similar usage. I didn't realise it wasn't the same as the DP2M, however no real complaints for the price.
The images on this page are stunning - I am not worthy!

I thnik if you take too these camera's there is no such thing as having one. As Ray says and I myself like the fore shortening of the tele lens, having done Landscapes with the DP3 and stitched it works well enough. I would not discount the Dp2 though, or the Dp1 What I would say is the Dp3 can be utilised more in that it is also has streghts in close shallow depth of field shots with often beautiful outcomes.

I am kicking myself as here in the uk the Dp2x was on sale new at knock down prices a while ago. Yes the sensor is smaller on the previous Sigma cameras, than the APSc of the Merrill's. But I think I would have enjoyed the earlier versions as well, from results I see. Hope too see some of you pics soon.

Thank you Julian.
My shots are pretty much of the snapshot variety at this stage. I need to learn SPP a lot more. As some have stated, I am also exporting 16-bit TIFs and then simply exporting as 72dpi for web use. My RAW editor of choice is usually Capture One Pro 8.
I bought the DP2M before the DP3M was out.
I probably would have bought the DP3M if it had been available back then as I prefer the focal length.
Simply put If I had the money I would have both the DP2M and DP3M.
However that said , the DP2M has been a great landscape camera.
I have taken some wonderful photos with it and have no regrets. Definitely recommend it.
It really sings if I use a tripod and take my time which has been getting harder to do.
Made it out yesterday went for a drive down some country roads which is a favorite activity my wife and I enjoy.
Here is one of the shots from yesterday.
