Julian, I tweaked the color balance using some selective color adjustment, but for some reason when it uploads to flickr the highlights seem brighter than my monitor so I will look into that and why it is happening. The previous version I was not happy with how I originally processed it as I brought the shadows up too much and it kind of ruined the mood. Also when I originally processed it was with the V6 of SPP and now this one was mostly processed in SPP 6.1

Did you try reloading the firmware on your camera Ratty ?
Seems that if the camera works in single shot mode, and can bracket when using the timer, that there isn't something mechanically wrong with the camera. Maybe something in the software won't let it fire a burst?
If it can fire 3 bracketed frames in timer mode, which is triggered by the shutter, but can't shot multiple frames otherwise just doesn't make much sense
Yep, I re-loaded firmware, reset the camera, threatened it with destruction, etc... Nothing worked. If the camera is set in multishot mode and I take a shot, it locks up immediately for about 45 seconds, then tries to focus, and then fires off a shot. With a 45 second lag time, there's really no way to adequately frame your shot. And the funny thing is, it doesn't even fire off more than one shot so the whole mode is really pointless.
A shame really, as I've only got 3300 shots on the camera and it's not even 2 years old.

What if you hit the focus button on the back first to toggle it to MF mode, and then hit the shutter ? Does it still try to focus and lock up ?
I just tried it and the camera locks up. Once it comes back to life, it skips trying to focus and then snaps the photo.
OK, while playing with the camera, I found a sort of work around. If I set the camera into multi shot mode and then shoot wide open at f/2.8, it works just fine. I can fire off 7 shots and fill the butter without any lag.
The moment I stop the lens down to f/3.5 or further, then the problem reappears and I cannot make even a single shot properly. For some odd reason, f/3.2 is OK.

Alan
Ok Alan I see. For myself the image looks a tad over sharpened but maybe that is me, which will lose a lot of tonal range. I find it happens to my images sometimes after uploading it shows a lot. I not sure what it is as I rarely sharpen images and never use noise control either. I do wonder if flicker resizing when linking as they do, may on occasions cause this on some images, but on the whole Flickr are pretty good at retaining the image qualities posted.
I did go back to SPP 5 as I preferred the colours a bit more subtle, but recently have again returned to SPP6 for most conversions. I do still have both and sometimes run them side by side to see which renders a particular image best.

My ALL time favorite Buddhist temple! I REALLY wish I had a DP1M when I was there. Here's my favorite part of this temple shot with the DP2M.
Wow! Cool!
Kamakura is not as often explored by the international tourist, who will typically head for the BIG one (ie. Kyoto)
So I'm really surprised that there is a fellow DPxm user on here who has also been there.
Julian, your eye for the shot just never fails to amaze me.
Things that I would have just passed off as 'nothing special', just comes to life with your composition, eye for lighting and processing knowing the strengths/limits of the Foveon sensor.
