On the subject of how much it cost of going there, I would like to add my 0.02$. I travelled the Chilean side of Patagonia with a friend (Bobu), and more often than not, we went on for some hours with seeing/meeting a soul. So I recommend thinking again before going alone. If you have any trouble, there is no mobile phone network, and things can go south pretty fast. Just sayin'
