Did you do a bunch of processing on these? Looks like there are halos on the 4th set - hasty exposure work on the sky perhaps?

Yes, all the images are processed in LR: sharpness/noise/temperature/filters/etc . I may have pushed too much the highlights / shadows for the 4th pair
These shots and PP were done in a kind of hurry I admit.

Yes, all the images are processed in LR: sharpness/noise/temperature/filters/etc . I may have pushed too much the highlights / shadows for the 4th pair

I got them all this time as well. I actually didn't find the "5" sample close if you look at the left edge of the frame the Zeiss is a lot better.

the Sony seems to be decentered to me, as Fred wrote the left is clearly worse than the right side. So I am not that sure if I can draw any conclusions from this 2.nd set because a copy with better centering could perform better.

Yes, it shows in all images. The FE 28-70 copy looks decentered.
