I have a D4, and am probably going to stick with it - at least that's the plan for now. I imagine I'm not alone in wanting to see a few more of the D4s bodies out in the wild and see a better sampling of images before I make any decisions. I'm hoping I procrastinate long enough that I just wait till the D5 comes out in a couple years
I have one on order, but there is still time to get real user feedback and cancel if I'm not hearing good things. The B&H March 6th shipping date (tomorrow) is for the most part BS. I confirmed with them today that they have zero D4s in their warehouse and all they know for certain is that they are still "backordered" with Nikon.
the first round goes to the NPS preorders. they can come in in the AM and ship by the PM same day. they won't even show up as a stock item per say. simple logistics.
I'm in.
NPS preorder. We'll see how that works out because I have yet to get a response from them. Maybe I'll just get a call from my camera store one day, telling me it's in, I don't know.
It will be interesting to see if I see any differences between the D4s and the D4.
I know there are differences between my D4 and my D3s's and definitely between the D3s and the D3. I use the D3s's for remotes now and the D3 will be a sacrificial net cam.
