Adobe has updated Adobe Camera Raw adding color profiles for many new cameras.
The camera and profile updates are available for Photoshop CS6 users and Creative Cloud subscribers. Photoshop CC subscribers receive additional features not supported in CS6, including a Before/After comparison tool.

Welcome to the Adobe Photoshop Camera Raw 8.4 for CS6/CC plug-in release candidate on Adobe Labs. A “release candidate” label indicates that this update is well tested but would benefit from additional community testing before it is distributed automatically to all of our customers. Camera Raw 8.4 RC for CS6 update includes support for many new cameras and lens profiles. A release candidate build of DNG Converter 8.4 is also provided.

That download link is a 108 MB zip file with a "patchinstaller.exe" and a ton of "payloads".
All that to get a Camera Raw.8bi file which averages only 25 to 30 MB?
I like to try it to see if it fixes a bothersome bug, but want an easy way to revert to an older version if necessary.
Can anybody verify that running that patchinstaller will ONLY load a new Camera Raw.8bi file and do nothing else? I don't want to risk other changes to my system that are undocumented and can't be reversed.

Besides the gui transparent fix(es) greenfield mentions, this version also incorporates before & after split-views (top & bottom or side-by-side) in the preview pane. Nice!
I didn't notice anything else different anyway. Did the clone and spot removal tabs always have a show-spot view? I may be spacing that off... <shrug>
