Point Reyes Love the cheese!!!

Really nice documentation work Jim. It looks like they hired you to do this for them I really like the shots from on land, these pinnipeds are immense!

Were there other animals or birds there? I have been by there many times but always on the way to somewhere else, maybe I should make it a destination?

Tim

Definitely worth a visit, Tim. I love this area for weekend visits. Beautiful park with lots of good trails to hike. Inverness and Pt. Reyes Station offer good lodging options and food. Not necessarily a birding mecca, but I've seen a nice variety of wildlife there. The Tule Elk are always interesting, lots of raptors and shorebirds, warblers and other tree dwellers.

The people walking by showing their size is

I can't imagine you taking a picture with the adults at 5K pounds a piece

Your thread gets a couple of so awesomely fantastic!! So

Do they feel pain when getting tagged?
Do they get real nasty with the tagger? What precaution does the tagger have to stay safe?

BeeBalm

Thanks for the comments and kind words, Bee Balm. I don't think the tagging is particularly painful, but the pups certainly don't seem to like it. The tagger got snapped at a couple times and her tagging gun knocked out of her hand. No real precautions in place other than moving faster than the seals.
