Lovely color in those birds Karl!! #5 & 7 are the ones that stand out for me, but each certainly has merit for consideration as favorites. Great comp and pose in 5. Nice shots with the new lens.
Thanks Ken, guess it found its happy spot...............in the sun Learning real quick that 600mm and f/6.3 has its limitations without good light at this price point anyhow.
Appreciate your kind words buddy, thank you.

As others have said Karl these are a wonderful set of photos. The starlings seem to be survivors, no matter the temperature they are always around. Thanks for recharging my enthusiasm. I like the IQ of your new lens.
Gee, I don't know Karl, the Tammy looks like its performing as I would expect it to, these look marvelous. Sure it might not be the best IF lens out there but then again it isn't priced as such either.
1 beautiful comp
2 see one, I kind of like this one better for the simplicity of it.
3 while it's a fun pose the shot doesn't work well for me. My eye goes straight to the body and then searches for something meaningful
4 boy that one is so close to really being a standout. The sticks sprouting from the body bug me but never the less it's a marvelous shot
5 similar to 3 but this one really works for me, it has wonderful flow, the dynamic aspect of it makes this one wonderful
6
7 oh this is really nice albeit a bit stark but if that is what you are going for..... it works perfectly.
Super set Karl. For what it is worth the lens performed quite well for this kind of shooting.
A super set Karl, and you managed to sneak in a few flowers too... You have some great colors, and great poses too. I'm not sure MAing the combo would give you much improvement, but I'd do it anyway. ~ Ron
