Thanks for the welcome. Unfortunately I don't have the required number of posts to show any sequential shots here and forgive my feelings whatever I post will be knocked for some reason.
However, the more I use this lens, the more I love it. The following are from a couple of sequential shots, The first ones are shot at 600mm, f8 which is still a very shallow dof on this lens. The second set were shot at 150mm.
Go to: http://www.denisg.co.uk/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=44http:// and look for shots 1039, 44, 48 and 50. All 11 shots were sharp to me.
Also look at shots 1058, 63 and 68 for the 150 set, again all were acceptably sharp to me bearing in mind how close they were, how big the subjects are and how close I was at the time.

Seems to be working for you. That is all that counts.
Thanks Chez and yes I am very happy with it. I don't think it's bad for a 7 year old camera and is my first steps with Canon after 50+ years with Minolta then Sony.

And are you going to post examples of a burst of sequential shots in AI Servo for us?
Just done that Imagemaster and apologies for the delay. The 600mm shots were taken with the targets moving away from me at, I guess, around a 45 degree angle. Hope they are ok for you.
All 11 are sharp to me but if you are in any doubt I could arrange quite easily for you to get all 11 raw files from Dropbox if you wish. You would need to up exposure though as with them being brilliant white I underexposed by a third to keep the feather detail.
denisg - I think it costs to post shot here - at least for your own avatar .
Looked at your shots , looks fine to me . I am more into flowers , maybe candid shots
and churches[ ones with smaller buildings around from a hill ]
When posting on web , pretend you are at a table with your mother , mother-in-law and your
wife - all are mad at you .
Post away - it stops people from kicking their dog .
BTW - you can post shots here for free http://www.dpreview.com/forums/1029
The only thing I tried here is the Avatar .
Unless asking a question about a shot or an example [ like stitching ,
I seldom post - shots on DPR or potn .
Mainly post my opinion , results , experience and / or questions .
Most of what's wrong with this shot - I see nothing wrong and would be happy
with .
So far from what I have seen , the 150-600 will work for me . As for IQ , I know it
won't compare to the 600 prime - but the 50 1.8 II sucks compared to the 50 1.2 .
[ i don't like primes to begin with - just to hard to frame ]
My shots are critiqued by relatives , friends and maybe on DPR if I have a question .
To me a good shot is = will you make me a copy ?
While capturing our sample images, both a Canon 50D and Canon 60D were used. With both cameras we had some difficulty using the AF system. Since this happened with both camera bodies, we are looking at an issue with the lens. In both cases, we would have to manually focus and get close before the AF system would take over.
