Nothing fancy but a few quick snaps with the Batis 25/2 that I just received. Includes a couple wide open. I'll go walk around during lunch and play some more . . .

Very nice Bob! How is the overall feel of the lens...solid, quick focus, etc? And how does the OLED display work for you...do you like it? Have fun and thanks for posting these early shots.
I haven't been shooting a lot lately, but got this one the other day while in Boston for the afternoon. This is a pretty popular location for capturing this intersection of bridges, but I haven't seen it in b&w so I thought I'd give it a try. A7r and FE 16-35. Processed in LR and converted with Silver Efex Pro 2.

Jon
Thanks Jon. The overall feel is fantastic. The lens is light (I was surprised) and very well balanced on the A7II. The look and feel is wonderful, IMO. The AF seems as fast as any other FE lens. I set up the OLED display but honestly, I just went out and wandered around the city for 20 minutes and never used it. Here's a few more. I know I'm shooting in 'sunny f/8' conditions but these images needed very little in the way of post.

It sounds like a great combination and the results are beautiful! I especially like the focus fall-off wide open. The flowers and gas pump in the previous post and the lock and bicycle seat above. It isn't that harsh, fall-off-the-cliff transition from in-focus to out-of-focus (I think I just used up my weekly allocation of hyphens in one sentence! ) that I've seen in some Zeiss lenses and, to me anyway, it looks pleasing. Thanks again, it looks very promising.
Wow Mike... very nice. Thanks for this "big" post
Bob, Renč, amazing test pics... so nice!!!
Incredible captures in the last pages... compliments everyone and thanks for sharing. Best photo place on the net...
