Basso, Bob, Hiep and Bruce, thank you very much. I am flattered...
Here are a few images taken at the coast near Vik, where basalt is the prevailing rock. Since basalt is dark gray, almost black and the sand/pebbles on the beach is also black, I converted the almost monochromatic images into B&W for more impact. The last image is similar to the one I posted earlier but this one shows more wave pounding activities.
Great pictures all round. Just to take some:
Nice moody woods R Young.
Great use of the light Phillip.
Nice ducks and rendering of the 28/2 Ronny.
Great use of black and white Joshua. That 'Wave Action' in particular has a nice atmosphere (yet a bit harsh processing given the halos around the basalt sculptures?).

Thanks, Bas. Yes, I was struggling with that one and I noticed that too but somehow it became more pronounced after I scaled it down for posting. I will work on it some more though to minimize that.

Ronny, either that dog of yours is a very slow runner, or you're an absolute expert at nailing manual focus - I'm impressed, not just by these ones, but by the regular stream of images all absolutely nailed! John
Thanks John
Nitro is getting a little slow.. he is 8 years now

Yeah, well, I feel with you. Shooting is one thing, processing in LR/PS/else another and, speaking for myself, I am afraid I like the first part more than the latter Spending too much time behind a computer screen anyway. I know there is a lot of good advice and even scripts here (Phillip for example has this downsizing script), but either I am too lazy or do not (have/want to) invest sufficient time to properly learn PS... Too bad, because having full control from shooting to printing (or presenting on a website) obviously is the big advantage of digital vs film. Ah well, learning one step at the time (with a year or more interval - and I just found out about framing ) might just do it... Anyway, spending too much time already on this forum and photo stuff. And then, I have other hobbies as well... Yeah, having a tough life That having been said, your pp skills seem very much in order!
Thanks Gregg
35-70 I think is great lens .. a little awkward to use, however, but
deliver great images directly from the camera..and like you said it seems to be made for the Sony A7X series
