Bob, great set from Nantes, as was you set from the Mont Saint-Michel. I am actually green with envy!
Charles, another great set. The one with the girl is awesome IMHO
Joshua and your Noctilux, and Werner and your Noctilux, the only reason I am not green with envy is I know if I had one, I still couldn't produce these shots!
Ronny, your B&W set with your fisheye is awesome!
A couple of details from Munich, FE 35 f:2.8
One never knows what we end up shooting - my friend asked me to shoot his dad funeral, and I tried to tell that I no longer do that kind of photography neither have any suitable equipment. Seems that my negotiation skills need improvement as I today found myself from the funeral shooting photos I was quite scared as I don't have any other AF-lenses than FE35 and FE55, but in morning I packed Domke with A7+FE35, A7r+FE55 and Canon 5DmkII+Zeiss21. And I was able to handle the situation with them.
I was very much surprised, but I actually had no issues with AF or other aspects of Sony's (well they could be bigger in size, but that is just ergonomics = pain and suffer but won't do anything in the big picture). More or less the only issue was focusing with 5DmkII, I had to use live view and tape (taped the focus to little over 2m mark). Maybe it's time to throw away the last Canon body and replace with A7.
Absolute worst thing was that I had to install neckstraps to A7 and A7r , and now I have to remove them - I was hoping to never need to use them. 100% not needed on my usual work, and will cause only harm.

I wanted to see about tracking mode for my a7, as it has been somewhat pooh-poohed. I used decent light, had on a cpl, and used my 55/1.8 wide open. Here was my result with my son, who either runs or sprints. This was a run (sprints involve flailing arms and high knees). Method was the prescribed wide area AF, with tracking engaged on his face. The third from the last is my favorite.
All are ISO100 f/1.8 1/640
While not a challenging environment (other kids, obstacles, etc.) and a thin DOF, I am pretty pleased with the results. And I love, love, love this lens!
Doves and pigeons warm themselves in the winter sun. This is seasonal atmospheric haze, the air is perfect. Monastery buildings are constructed by hand from shaped stone bases, mud bricks, rubble, rammed earth and mud cement, using wood as cross beams, supports and columns - you can see the uneven capping of the parapets - these are hand finished and shaped by teams of young women singing all day as they work. Drains tend to be very decorative as they must funnel water from the flat roofs well away from the walls. And one from the interior of this hall. FE55 / a7r.
Ron,
This is a great shot, i really enjoy your shots of your dog its clear that you love your dog and you have a very close relationship with him / her you can tell that your dog really trusts you.
I went out this evening for a short outing (it was cold) at the Trexler Nature Preserve Environmental Center, Schnecksville, PA for my second time with my "new" Leica M 90mm f2.5 Summarit lens. Images taken with my tripod mounted A7r and my Leica M 90mm f2.5 Summarit stopped down to f11 (I know diffraction, but I wanted well defined sunbursts). Images shot with sun shining right down the axis of the lens and I am quite pleased and surprised that I can not see any lens flare even with a MC B+W UV filter for the images. Images processed in LR5.7.1.
