It was a 'sunny f/8' kind of day in Minneapolis. So I set the Loxia 35/2 to f/8 and let the colors shine through. This lens on the A7II is just stunning, IMO, and requires little, if any, processing.

More from London with the a7r + fe 55
Would like your comments on the f2.0 graffiti shot, i'm not sure it works.
I like it. There might be a tad too much blurry foreground, but conceptually it's good. I love the natural highlighting on that graffiti in the background (which works in both shots).

Very nice. Now that I have the 16-35 I need to swap out my CV15/4.5 for the 12mm.
You won't regret it. I'm still eying the 16-35mm. I really want it, but it's beyond my budget right now. And I have a FD 20-35L that get's the job down when stopped down to f/8. At the very least, it's holding me over in the meantime.
(I also like having lenses where I don't need to worry about broken AF motors or stabilization systems or anything like that...)
Taken with A7 and Voigtlander 40mm 1.4. Sold the voigtlander last week and now looking to add a new lens to the A7. I mainly use the A7 for traveling so want to keep it lightweight and as compact as possible. Been thinking about the Sony 35mm 2.8, but open to suggestions from others.
She didn't want to be photographed, moved back from the focal plane, sharp hand; heartless character that I am, I went ahead. I had the bokeh worked, nice smile, too late to argue so - 'snap'. 55, a7r. 2nd is one of Tibet's very strange birds, would make a good broom, pretty well insulated too. Got an unintended OOF of the switchback too, lucky. Contax 100/3.5.

The FE 35/2.8 is lighter (120g vs 175g before adapter), and shorter when adapter is factored in. Biggest drawback is 2.8.
The Zeiss Loxia 35/2 ($$$) and Zeiss ZM 35/2 should also be on your short list; but not as compact or light. And of course, Voigtlander 35/1.4, for a "classic" look.
One more from Meoto No Iwa, the "Wedded Rocks". Taken on the A7r and 90mm APO Summicron af f/8 for 60s. Funny thing about this picture, I didnt realize until after I got home that I could see that I could see the location of the lighthouse I posted a few weeks ago, which is on the other side of the bay. Happens to be 4 hours away by car!
