Is the focal plane curvature convex? Any post to correct for flare or is the lens relatively resistant? I have a Tokina 17mm f3.5 that flares badly when the sun is just outside the frame.
Nice photo of the hummingbird with a challenging lens...
I have trouble above 400mm handheld. 600mm seems to require a monopod to get proper focus and a decent shot. The A7II looks pretty interesting with the IBIS.

It happens quite seldom that I come across a very special lens like the Minolta MD Rokkor 85/2.0 49mm,I acquired yesterday. This compact, solid glass is truly outstanding.Sharp across the A7's frame at f2.0,very contrasty stopped down 1 f stop.Archetypal, beautiful Minolta colours and buttery smooth oof blurr.Easily creates the 3D effect wide open. The best 85mm Minolta MD lens and one of the best 85mm lenses I've ever had.

OK, I got out for a bit today with my new FE 16-35 on the A7. I mostly got this for vacations, where I'm less likely to want to change lenses a lot and AF might be handy. It's very nice. Bulky compared to rangefinder lenses for sure, but not that heavy. It's much less bulky than the ZA 24/2 and LA-EA2 I used to have.
I did get some corner vignetting - a small amount of the frame, but quite dark and noticeable - when using a 72mm CPL. All of these are taken w/ the CPL on the lens.
Tayler Sherman; Looks good, what is a CPL? Clevelaand Public Library or Clinical Pathology Laboratories
This is a 6 image stich from the Notre Dame d'Amiens, which is, I think one of the most beautifull cathedrals of France. It is very light inside, not as sombre as the one of Rouen inside.
Quick shot of a local brew (Voodoo Brewery) poured fresh from a growler. Space Cadet weighs in at 9.1% abv and is brewed exclusively with Australian Galaxy hops. Amazing beer...almost as amazing as the cask-poured triple dry-hopped Hoodoo aged on house smoked hickory habanero peppers from the same brewer. Your palate is not ready.
Great shots last page....aCIDfire, Taylor, Michiel, Noodlz, Mike, Ryan and Triton

I'm finding that my A7 is producing really bright vivid colours. Too vivid in terms of reds, magenta, and purples. This is in raw and is quite annoying to correct.
Really like those Minolta shots Mike. In fact there is rarely a poor Rokkor shot in this thread. Great lenses at knockdown prices.
RAW - is literally that, raw data. Therefore maybe you need to look at your convertor as some do a much better job than others. I certainly don't have any issue with vivid colours when importing the NEFs from my A7 into LR5, and I only shoot in RAW.
I've read that both Capture One and Nikon's own ViewNX2 and/or CaptureNX2 all do excellent jobs of converting too - you can then export the converted DNG files to whatever editing program you use. Adobe has a free DNG convertor too.
As I only use LR5 to convert (and Aperture before that) I can not speak from personal experience as to which is the best (though that may also be personal preference).
