Went to Dallas for a conference this past weekend and thought I will take some pictures but all I could get the time for was this one in car way back to Airport. Not very good from an art perspective but I see the leica feel in the definition of rather monotone building through car window etc. BTW definition is lost quite a bit when I export it from captureone as JPEG. Dont know a quick way to add the sharpness while exporting in captureone 8. If someone knows the best way to export as JPEG from captureone8 please let me know.

So I got a great deal on a Leica Summicron 50/2 Type 2 DR but only now have I been able to give it some use.
I like this one, from yesterday. The rain stopped and the temperature went up a bit so it was a nice Autumn day for a walk around the neighborhood.
Shot at f/8 and converted with SEP2.
I was never a fan of the 50mm focal length but I might just start being if all the B&W photos come out like this one. I really enjoy the sharpness and clarity.
A few fungi shots, all with A7 & CV125. If you live near maples in North America you have probably seen leaves with black spots on them. That's a fungus, namely, "tar spot fungus". See #1 & 2.
#1 Rhytisma punctatum in context (leaf)
#2 Close up (~1:1), the "quonset hut" structure that houses the spores can be seen. The fungus will overwinter on the leaf in this form and when the warm spring rains come the following year it will release its spores in time to infect a new generation of budding leaves. And the beat goes on...
#3 The fruiting body of a more recognizable fungus, sometimes called "Wooly Chanterelle".
#4 This just might be the only mushroom in North America that can't be mistaken for anything else.
Do you do any distortion correction & if so how do you do it? Your straight lines are straighter than what I get right out of the camera...

The Rokinon 14 has a lot of distortion which you have to correct especially for architecture.
This time I used the lensprofile (samyang for Nikon) from Sven Stork http://www.svenstork.com/essays/rokinon-14mm-lightroom-lens-profile/
I also bought PTlens which you can use within PS. I find the one from Sven Stork in most situations better and it is for free. You need the lensprofile downloader from Adobe to install it.

Thanks Michiel,
I had another LR profile that doesn't look as good as this. I will give it a try.
Quite interesting shots with the Minolta 35-70, I don´t have a proper midrange zoom for the alpha system yet.
I do like a lot the Nikon 24-70 2.8 in my Nikon system, but as a G lens the adapter use is not the best option, I wish Metabones could come with a Nikon G to FE ala Canon one.
I really want a workhorse lens as my 24-70 G is, but in the alpha system, sadly all the samples and reviews of the Sony 24-70 f4 are a letdown.
A couple of pictures with the A7R and Nikkor 85 f1.8 D + Chinese adapter, I noted a light leak at the release button but its not overly important if no light hits straight to it.
The Nikkor it’s a nice lens and besides some purple fringe easily fixable in Lightroom I have no complains about it, I do find my G90 to have better micro contrast and overall colors and clarity but obviously its not f1.8.
I wasn't sure what to think of this lens initially. I don't like the variable speed focus by wire and it's `not the sharpest lens in the corners maybe, but it has a certain magic to the rendering that is growing on me.
eheffa...The Contax 24-85 is an awesome lens!! It's just big!! I used one for a long time on my 1D4...I don't have it anymore, but enjoy it!
Here are some Hawaii shots with the Contax 35-70/3.4 on the A7

The most anticipated location of my trip to China: Water Town in Wuzhen. Water Town is 2000 years of history within 2km long section of canals, stone bridges, shops, small hotels, restaurants, traditional styled dwelling houses, all divided into few districts and presenting itself as photogrtaphers ultimate location. To top it, we arrived there on National Day when hundreds if not thousands dressed in historical costumes from various Chinese eras and locations.
