Looks good Helena.
Can have some flare straight to the sun but very few don't. It is of all the wide angles I have the one with the least issues on the A7r. I love it for interiors, it's my ideal museum lens when spaces are tight.

That's pretty much what I think of mine. Its not the best thing ever but it will do and I love the size of it
Great to hear! Mine seems to be surprisingly sharp across the frame and has nice Zeiss rendering. However, it has strong field curvature (probably exaggerated by A7) so I need to take care when focusing or else the corners and sides will be pretty bad.
It does indeed flare when shooting straight into the sun, but I expected worse. Overall A7's sensor reflections bother me more than the occasional red lens flare.
My three C/Ys are in similar size which means that regardless of which lens I have mounted the other two fit perfectly in their wraps under the camera in the shoulder bag, leaving the other compartment free for a bottle of water or something. And so light! Love it.
Been following this thread since the beginning, as a NEX 5n user, the A7 series were so tempting… and after more than 500 pages finally I took the plunge and got the A7R.
Thank you all for the incredible pictures, some serious inspiration and quality here.
A couple of G45 shots, one of my beloved lenses on my NEX 5n, incredible clarity and color in the A7R too.
Gregg, Bob, Ronny, Phillip, Michiel, Werner, Jack... I am speechless by the beauty of pictures posted in this thread: I think you could establish a photo agency... in that case I will apply to be your assistant
Ended up finding a Minolta 58/1.2 for an excellent price. Paid less than $300 including shipping and it seems to be in excellent condition. No fungus, a few small scratches that don't affect IQ and some worn paint. It arrived today, so of course I had to try and get some shots after work. I'll probably head out after a late dinner and do some night shooting as well. I must say, focusing at f/1.2 is a bit of a pain, especially at MFD. I'll have to break out the tripod for that, I think.

Greggf and Helena: Great job in incorporating those sun stars into the frames.
Greggf: One question about your Nokton shots. Have you post-editing do usually do? Going by the pictures posted here, it doesn't seem to have this over-the-top color pop of my 35 1.2 II (which is a great lens, but the color pop is a bit too brutal on my eyes). Any thoughts about that?
Jako: Great job on those portraits. Your subjects in those portraits all look very natural. Really nice series again.
Bob: The colors and the clarity are insanely impressive. Wonderful job. That MD 58 1.2 really seems to be a special lens in the right, skilled hands.
Werner: Those Nocti shots wide open are amazing. Still baffles me how you can get what you want in focus. I'd probably spend hours trying to pull off one in-focus shot.
Here is one from a weekend trip down to the coast. It was quite cloudy and I was late for the sunset, but oh well. Sony a7r and CZ 35 2.8.
Asia at night; saturated in everything, especially in colours. I alawys wandered how Edward Karaa, Charles, Lars Johnnson (missing lately) Michael, Kevin and others got such great, reach colours.
More from the Sonoran Deserts of Arizona with the A7r
This first shot right into the sun, late afternoon with my old faithful Minolta MD Zoom 35-70 Macro. It was so bright, I didn't know what I would get. This old lens is just amazingly flair resistant.
The next shots are all taken with the Leica 90mm Elmarit-R, some with the added Elpro-3 close up filter. The little orange flower is about the size of a thumb nail.
Great Desert shots, Dale! The Leica 90's make great macros with the ElPro adapters.
Jack...Incredible set last page from China, with the M Lux 50...

Not sure, really? I've head many diff people say they don't like the over-saturated look of the CV 35 1.2ll...I only had one briefly, and then opted for the CV Ultron 35 1.7(fantastic lens BTW)...As far as the CV50 1.5...I couldn't tell you why it seems less like the 35 1.2? It is just a great lens. Sharp, with tons of POP, and very nice bokeh.
As far as the PP goes, I don't get too crazy. The sliders I use don't go very far either way, so my images are pretty close to the orig. In fact, here are a bunch with the Nokton 50 1.5 ASPH, below...
