Tack sharp using a slow shutter to get the props motion
Thank you very much! Speaking of slow shutter speed, it seems to me my default shutter speed for prop. planes is 1/125 second. I probably get 1 out of 50 that's sharp enough. Thank God I am not shooting film.
Here are a few more from the Sanicole "sunset show" in Belgium. This B-17 bomber is owned by a U.K. organization.

It rained the whole day on the last day in Belfast, Ireland. Only towards the evening, the rain finally stopped. Puddle photography anyone 😜...?
Nice puddles, Joshua!

Just got caught up on the fantastic work from everyone on the last several pages. Is this not the best image thread on all of FM? Special shoutout to @Ronny Olsson, just wow!
I started my fall shooting in Utah this week, and while up in a mountain canyon a thunderstorm moved in and the rain started pouring, and I liked the softer more painterly look that it gave this scene.

This may well be the first fall foliage shot of this season posted here! Just beautiful!

Thanks, Douglas! It feels good to be on the road making images again during my favorite season. Here’s another from this week in northern Utah:

I ran across this guy tonight. It was essentially blue hour as the sun was almost fully set and we had a storm roll through, very overcast but with a slight glow. I figured I would try to capture a few shots knowing the ISO would be nutty and it was pretty dark. The AF struggled at times, I braced against my truck the best I could and shot at 1/100 - 1/125th a second, mainly hand-held/braced. I was at ISO 12,800 as I have it capped at this setting in the A1, the images were 1.5-2 stops under exposed, a couple at 800mm and one around the 550mm range. Image stabilization along with noise reduction is something else these days. In this situation I was thinking about how a 300+2x at F/5.6 would have been nice or even better, the 600mm F/4 at ISO 3200. The 400-800 has been really fun to shoot with but it does show it's limitations with the higher f/stops. I've shot almost 30k images with it since its release, I've been pretty happy with it, I'm still not thrilled with the higher ISOs but they are manageable. Anyways... it was still great to see this pretty buck and to capture a few shots.
Thanks! Most of Utah is in severe drought (and some areas extreme) so colors were not expected to be the best. I am seeing a lot of dull uninspiring locations but thankfully also some that are quite wonderful to my color-starved eyes.
