Actually I'm pretty happy with Om and Olympus for what I mostly photograph.. we'll see in the future if I don't get FX and Sony again
maybe.. I've said before that I'll only want to have one system but maybe not.. but I sure miss my Sony stuff also

More old shots
You old friends from the thread have seen these pictures several times before but I think there may be others who haven't so sry for that
A few shots from the charming city of Bruges, Belgium few days ago. While not as "grand" as Ghent, I think Bruges is more to my taste.
Very nice from you all the time with different lenses etc.. I often check this thread.. in 4/3 there is not much activity.. hihi it's me and a few stubborn ones
Then we have Gary who left Nikon and is now an Om-Olympus shooter
Tony is back also to Om-Olympus from Canon so. so It's nice
Same great lenses in the Om-system also , the closest focus distance and range is just as fun to have with the 4/3 system for a macro nerd like me
Thanks Douglas!
However, it will probably be brief with pictures as they are all older pictures
I actually have quite a lot of unedited material from Sony from the years in the system although I don't know if it is that interesting perhaps

Hellenic Air force, Turkish Air Force, and Iranian Air Force are still operating these jets. Apparently, in the aviation photography circle, the F-4 is on the top of the bucket list. The F-4 was the main reason I traveled to Belgium. I think the last time I saw one flying was 1991 or 1992, and this trip may very well be the last time I saw one flying.
Here are a few from Saturday's "sunset" show, which was cold and wet. It was raining half of the time. This F-4 was actually flying in the rain. I don't know which is worse, grey sky vs cloudless blue sky. I do think grey sky can make some dramatic looks, at the expense of high ISO, of course.

Nice! This is Sanicole right? The wife and I enjoyed that a lot a few years ago.
Will definitely take our son when he's old enough.
Thank you Alan! Yes, I was at the Sanicole show in Blegium over the weekend. Funny when I booked the hotel for Saturday night, I didn't realize the hotel is located in the Netherlands. It was a 45-minute drive from the show. So now I can say I have been to the Netherlands.
A few shots of the Czech Air Force's Saab JAS-39 Gripen on Sat evening, check out the ISO.. One of the great things about airshows in Europe is the variety of fighter jets, including some European makes that we don't get to see here.
Sony 50mm f1.8, wide open 1/100sec iso250 glimmerglass 1/8 (always leaving that on this lens, a bit too detailed otherwise) YMMV, inconsistent production with the glimmerglass from what I saw, this 1/8 was significantly stronger than the 1/4 I tried.
Nice spot in the house next to some large windows. Doggo waking up from a nap.
Has some weirdness going on with some of the out-of-focus background elements like the slippers, that's the main drawback I have with this lens, some outlining and funkyness quite often.
Trying to find my go-to compact af, this would have been it if the background blur was just a bit smoother, going to try the sigma 50mm f2 when i see a little price drop - I wouldn't wait if it was weather sealed, but it's not. Got the 50f1.8 for £135 on Amazon when it was on sale, the sigma is over 4x that price.
Playing with the Samyang 45mmf1.8 currently (used for under £200), I think it's smoother:
wide-open, iso 100, 1/640sec.
Something often feels off though, muddyness (in the colour?) but that might be placebo with how damn cheap looking the lens build is, haven't taken enough with it yet. Little bit much on the background blurring.

Douglas - I am always amazed at your aircraft images. These of the F-4 are superb! I've always loved that fighter and thought its design was beautiful in an ugly way. Well done!

Thank you very much, Eric! I didn't know the F-4 is such a sought-after jet for aviation photographers. I wish I had started shooting airshows before the F-14 last flew... Drove a total of 500 miles today to Virginia to watch my last airshow of the season, a bit easier than going to Belgium for an airshow. I just heard Brussels airport got hacked today and it was a mess. Glad I got home Tuesday.
