Back to the Notre-Dame - I am not sure when the digital donation method was introduced but it is present now all over after the renovation. For sure, it is better to do it contact-less and yes, automatically.

Very nice, Peire! Is this your new toy?? I haven't used mine for a while. I also have the 35mm version.
Thank you Douglas. Not a new toy.I bought it 3 years ago,but same as you,use it very seldom.I've also tried 50/2.9 Mk1,but it was botched optically and mechanically,so I returned it.Yet the newest Mk2 50/2.8 FE is something I'm looking for,but despite it cost of 900 Euro it is not easy to get.Hope for cheaper and good chinese emulations of 50/2.8 and 35/2.8 soon.

Correction, I actually have the Meyer-Optik Gorlitz Trioplan 100mm f/2.8 II and the 50mm, not the 35mm as I said in my last post. This tells you how much I used it if I can't even remember the focal length.. I remember I had to wait about a month for the delivery.

Yes.They produce their lenses in short batches and sell the stock quickly out.So sometimes if one wants a new lens which is out of stock he needs to wait. This is discouriging considered their average price per unit of about 1000 Euro.My anger grows even more when I remind myself that Gorlitz is only 160km west from where I live.I know lenses are made in China, yet they need to run something like factory shop imo.
As for bubbles,100/2.8 is the best, followed by 50/2.8 with 35/2.8 far behind.

Made in China, sold at German price.
Chinese are improving their lens industry at a breathtaking pace, while German economy is slowly but continually shrinking.Short term results are not difficult to predict.Bad news for the whole of EU and Poland in particular, but well....the king must die one day.

Peire, I hope Poland will remain Polish, not becoming another unrecognizable European country. What a shame. But that's for conversation somewhere else. Sorry for getting off topic!
