Man those bucks are gigantic compared to my little Coues deer buck below. Very cool shots @davev
I caught this guy chilling in the shade, I like how the light hits his right eye and the dappled pattern from the shade of the mesquite tree. Enjoy the day all.

Thanks Hatch.
We have a very good selection of respectable sized bucks this year, about a dozen.
I have friends that have been putting on 10,000 steps, every day, for the last three months following these guys.
They know that the big guy has bred at least 5 does, and the one in the background has had at least three.
The big guy is thought to be 7.5 or 8.5 years old. The bucks in this park normally don't make it past 10 years old.
After the rut is done, this park also has at least 5 owl nests. Three barred owl, and two great horned owl.
A week ago, we had a long eared owl fly through being chased by crows.
We are very lucky to have a place like this so close to home.
Just to prove they aren't all monsters. (but in a few years, maybe he will be)
First snow of the season on autumn hydrangea leaves today
I always appreciate your kind words, Ross! The snowy season starts early this time around. The snow dust certainly makes your great image unusually even better.
