Took a walk down to the river delta and got some rare sunshine at first, but then it started snowing again. The last two shots are taken 3 minutes apart...

The habitat where the fox family lives is not that big and it doesn’t have any watering hole. Early one morning, I noticed that this fox kit was actually licking dew from the ground cover on the slope. Life is tough for the family, I would say and only the tough ones will survive especially now that summer is approaching and the days are getting warmer and warmer.,,.

Have you ever chased and chased and chased a species or rumors of a species and then one fine day it just appears before your eyes? On this particular path along Lake Apopka, Florida I was too busy nervously starring at the behemoth alligators all along the way, some of the biggest wild beasts I've ever seen in my life, when I caught a glimpse of something red in the tall grass that seems to have been following me. Somehow when it appeared again, I was ready and pointed the camera with only split seconds to click, click before the red bird disappeared again. A quick chimp in very bright sunlight/glare on my LCD and there before my eyes I think I saw the Male Painted Bunting. Finally!

Spring time has arrived in Colorado. The temp today was around 65 with a gentle breeze. It's quite a departure from what I'm used to while I was living in Texas. I could definitely get used to this. The boaters, bikers, hikers, families, etc all flocked to the lakes to enjoy the day. I didn't see many people wear masks and keep their distance but we did.
