The sighting of the fox, possibly even with cubs, has been reported at that location and recently, a shooting buddy of mine did capture the fox at that location. So, the day before yesterday, I tagged along and we got lucky. I did take quite a few images on the first outing of various poses and under different lighting conditions. But I am ready to go out there again before too long to capture some more and hopefully some fox cubs.
This particular image was taken before the sun came up the colors are muted. And somehow the shallow depth-of-field and the surrounding grass/vegetation, most were OOF, renders images on the softer side, a little "dreamy", if you will, with pastel colors. Somehow it suits the red fox image well. So, I didn’t do much editing except for some cropping.

First off, this image is cross posted.

Joshua, this is so beautiful! This deserves to be printed in a magazine. I just love the colors and tonal qualities.
I have always a camera with me...
Unprocessed, Sony A7RIII + 24mm GM @ f1.4
Interestingly, the 24mm GM behaves very differently on the A7RIII than on the A7III.
I think that the images look much more three-dimensional and sharper.
In contrast, the autofocus has problems, it persistently refuses to focus on anything that is more than about 5 meters away. Landscape photos actually have to be manually focused, otherwise the best sharpness is always in the close range.
(Similar problem with the 85mm Batis)
Looking across Heart Lake at mountainside in Autumn Color.
Tripod mounted Sony A7r camera and Minolta CLE MC 40mm f2 M-Rokkor lens.

I rarely buy new photo gear, but stumbled upon a 7Artisans 75mm/1.25 for a great price here in Norway and couldn't resist. It is great, but I'm considering passing it on to someone else. I haven't used anything longer than 50mm for several years and now I remember why... Also, it's surprisingly heavy. I'll give it a few more days though and we'll see.
