West Tibet in September. #1 former nomad community, now with bridge, concrete road, power. Winters are harsh, around -40C, I can't get anyone to take me out there at that time, even with little snow. #2 Very few places in the world with (domestic) yaks grazing, sand dunes and 8000m peaks, all seen from 4600m. You don't see trees for many hundreds of kms.
This is my first cityscape shot of my new hometown Denver. Not sure why it took me so long. I guess I've been obsessed with the natural landscapes around me. This view is pretty special with the city skyline and front range mountains in the background. This was shot at blue hour. I did get some shots at sunrise but the sky didn't explode in color as I had hoped.
Looking at an Alligator with a downy feather on its snout. Visitors had been feeding the birds Hot Dogs and I was concerned that a bird would try to eat a Hot Dog and not pay close attention to the Alligators. I heard a commotion behind me. When I turned and looked I couldn't tell if a bird had been eaten or got away, but the feather was on the Alligator's snout.
Cropped, tripod mounted 200-600mm G set to 291mm an dA7rIII; silent shutter.
ISO 100, f5.6, 1/200 second.
Exposure corrected -0.29 Stops.

Just reviewing some shots taken this past October at Taughannock Falls in Upsate New York near Ithaca and found this one that I passed over.
Ah, my old stomping grounds. I lived in Ithaca for 6 years (during college and a bit after). Unfortunately, I didn't really get into photography until later, and have only been back once since I have. Beautiful shot of Taughannock Falls....it's not always so flowing, and you caught the fall colors perfectly.
