Wow! The sense of depth in this photo is palpable - or tangible - words fail me Amazing shot! Thanks for posting.
Embarrassing ! Thanks so much for your kind words Peter, however I've just spotted the EXIF and noted it was shot with my Nikon (I was shooting both Nikon & Sony at that time) so I've had to remove it.

Reprocessing work for my new website. This from Huangshan Mtn in 2016. I'm planning to go back here end of Feb early March if my foot heals in time.
Great shot of the Huangshan Mountain, Kevin. I was there in 1986, before they had cable cars to transport tourists to the top, imagine that! My legs were shaking for several days afterwards from hiking up and down the peaks.

Thanks Joshua. Amazing place isn't it. China is full of weird and unique mountains ! The 'Avatar' mountains of Zhangjiajie and the round Karst mountains of Guilin/Yangshuo area as examples.
1986 ! That is the year before I came to China for the very first time .... for my wedding Never imagined I'd end up living here

Kevin, I was about to post a reply to your image. It is indeed a superb image on the previous page. Although I have not been there but I recognized it right away that it was from Huangshan. I made a tentative plan to go there last year after the Asian cruise when we embarked in Shanghai but my wife didn’t feel like going and that was the end of it.

Kevin, are you actually able to view pictures from Flickr posted here? They block Google, FB, and even Flickr and some other sites.

Oops sorry Douglas - mixed up my replies there
Everyone here uses a VPN, even the Chinese have their own (still partly controlled whereas the one I use isn't. So yes I can view any website I want to, Google is my default browser and I'm on FB almost daily

BTW, you are replying to Douglas’s post....
Joshua
Next time Joshua I would say you do need 3 to 4 days on top to be sure of getting the conditions you are looking for (sea of clouds) but the mist is there ca. 240 days a year so you'd have to be unlucky to miss it over 3-4 nights.
