Thank you very much, Ronny! Looking at the birds you captured with the new lens, there is no need for you to go to Ecuador . They are different alright but nonetheless, those birds in Sweden are colorful and beautiful....

This is another image of the Cedar Waxwings in Orange County, California. They migrate from colder climates and stay for the winter in the warmer region of Southern California. They love the red Toyon berries. They are very skittish and just a slight movement would be enough to make them fly away... I posted a similar image previously when the bird had the berry in its beak and this one shows the bird was about to swallow the berry down the hatch...

This is an amazing image. How?
Masked off the lane line and swimmer in LR, desaturated, dropped in a white background. As much flash power as I have, I don't think I have enough to fully blow a wall underwater, but I can get close if I do a better job of positioning the lights I think. SOOC below.
Thanks Ronny, terrific images.
A cute trick to get all these birds come to the same spot, looking so naturally!
K-H.
The place is in his garden
and fed with birdseeds and nuts etc.
In his storehouse he has made a hide where you can sit and watch and photograph when they come and eat
sit sticks placed around the food baskets
a really nice place and comfortable to sit
He is a very good photographer and bird watcher

Thank you very much, Alfredo and I have been enjoying images of your newly adapted home state.
Thanks so much Joshua. It has taken some time to get used to the new surroundings but I'm getting more comfortable each time I venture out. I hope to get more architecture and cityscape shots soon.

By this time, the color in the sky had mostly dissipated but there was still some light on the rocks. The gnarly shrubs made for a nice foreground I think as the branches caught some of the morning light.
