These are amazing Ronny! I just picked up the FE 90mm to replace the Makroplanar.
Have you found any extension tubes you like? And what about lighting? I'm doing some research on both at the moment.
Happy New Year!
Brett
Thanks Robert and Brett
I use godox v860ii for lightning
I have no tubes yet for sony E but will acquire for the next macro season
I will probably get Kenko but will do some research before deciding to buy
Exquisite bird images as usual Robert
see if I will get 200-600 this spring
or if I just get the converter for 100-400 Gm
I really want both 1.4 and 2.0 and 200-600
but I don't know

Some shots at sunrise yesterday morning and this morning, with the A7R4 and the lowly 24-105. I had not shot with the CV 40 at f1.2 for a long time so I dug it out to have some fun. The EVF of the A7R4 is so good that it makes MF seem so easy, even for a MF novice like me.

Ronny, since this is a gear forum, it would be highly irresponsible of me to do anything except strongly recommend that you purchase another lens
In all seriousness, the 200-600 along with the 1.4x makes for an extremely versatile and capable combo. I think you would produce absolutely stunning work with that combo, as you do with any gear you use!

^^^ Another lovely frame, Joshua! I have to say, I am so impressed with the performance of the 600 GM + 2x combo! I shot with a 1DX + Canon 600/4, 200-400/4, and 800/5.6 for several years, and the Sony combo – especially when paired with an a9 – is at another level in terms of AF acquisition, accuracy, and tracking. Image quality is also second to none, IMHO. Thanks for your wonderful examples!

Mitesh, thank you and you are right on the money in terms of the IQ of the TC. Frankly, while I used the 2X TC here and there but it wasn’t until our Bosque trip when I used that quite a bit while there. Another lovely image from Bosque you got up there!
