While I am fond of long lenses generally, I was not sure how well I would get along with a 135mm, slightly bulky - though I had imagined MUCH worse - lens. Some initial images with the absolutely glorious piece of glass that is the FE 135mm f/1.8 GM lens.
These images are nominally straight out of CaptureOne, with only modest adjustments for exposure, as I was shooting in challenging lighting...no local adjustments.
Just got back from a fun cruise from Seattle, up the coast to Skagway, then back again to Seattle. I couldn't believe how Victoria, B.C. has changed! So many new buildings and waterfront in ten years! Wow!
If you are hoofing it from the cruise ships, be warned -- it's about 1.5 miles to the downtown visitor center on the harbor! This shot along that walk, the last night of the trip.
Went out all last night trying to find the northern lights. I had no luck.
So I took a couple of shots near the Duluth Harbor. (MN)

Photo taken last evening at 6:46 PM in totally cloudy flat lighting. This is somewhat disappointing after seeing so many images of animals taken with this lens. None were to be found. I know the lens is sharp from some tests, but do not know if it is as sharp as my 100-400mm GM lens.
Looking down from the top of the Preserve,
