Didn't realize how close I was to you Jim, just got back from Washington last night. Saw your shots and said, hey that looks just like where I was.

Thanks Tim! I am glad you were able to get a geographical feel from my photos! I am always keenly aware of place from images I see of many locales. It is nice to capture the luxuriant growth and vitality of the outdoors in Western Washington.
Here is an alternate view with the Sigma 50 Art of the same little road through the forest captured previously with the Loxia 21. Obviously not from the same spot, but wanted similar edge content from further back.

Some shots with the new 200-600 at the Atlantic City airshow on Wednesday and the flyover in New York yesterday morning. The flyover was done at fairly high altitude so it was impossible to include the New York skyline in the shots from the ground, I saw pictures taken from the air by pros and they are spectacular. This was my first time to have the pleasure of seeing the British Red Arrows perform, excellent team.
Here, a short walk in the Hindu Kush; well, not really but it sounds better than 'a short walk beneath the Nun Kun glacier'. Out of the Contax 35-70/3.4. #2 is from the Contax 100/3.5. These lenses like many others can often be identified by their blues, the 35-70 Vario-Sonnar is bright and strong, the 100mm Sonnar has lazy and pastel skies.
