Changing pace in anticipation of the two native Sony lenses . I had two setups with me; a pretty much stationary one on a tripod and gimbal head with the A7r III and a handheld setup on the A9 to capture a white tail kite at this location. Both were equipped to reach the maximum focal length at this point, 1,200mm and 800mm, respectively. And yet, both images had to be cropped. I am convinced that the new 200-600mm lens would generate better images for a slightly longer reach with a 1.4X TC and the effective aperture is somewhat faster for either a lower ISO or faster shutter speed.
Night blooming Organ Pipe cactus in my front yard. Three different Leica lenses used, 6/15/2019. Sun and heat close the blossoms up rapidly.

A few from the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens with my A7ii and a Lensbaby "Sol 45".
I'm not sure I love the Sol 45 - it's a little over the top, but for flower photos, it's kind of nice. Interesting bokeh. I have purchased Lensbaby lenses quite a few times, including the original (@2004) which was basically a plastic element glued to a vacuum cleaner hose! (Still have it)
They are always fun, but the thrill wears off quickly. It's a once-every-3-months lens.

Not sure what this is called. A "Firework burst"?

The Palm Room. A dear family friend's son (and my oldest son's best friend) is getting married here next month. Must be nice to be able to afford the premiere wedding venue in Brooklyn!
Vivid Sydney 2019, the festival of the city lights!
This is a time blending the pink of the blue hour with the pinkish city strobes around 1 hour later.
