Thank you very much, Chris! At times, it seems that this thread has lost steam... but it hasn't failed to bounce back so far.
Great image of the cherry blossom pano. Was the right side sunlit more than the left side? Or is that in the evening as the background was dark?
Here is an image of a PIF the day before the A9 was upgraded to 5.0 .
Many thanks, Joshua. I took that pano in the evening. The trouble was that the cherry blossoms on the far left side were lit up far less strongly than the rest, creating this unpleasant contrast. I couldn't do much about it, because I had to keep the shutter speed high to avoid blur in the blossoms, and seeing how it's a landscape shot I didn't want to jack up the ISO even more, as I probably would have blown the highlights of the blossoms to the right.
The second morning in San Francisco - there are two bridges in the image; the obvious GG Bridge in the foreground and the Bay Bridge in the background near the horizon. The later is lit like vertical strings along its length. The clouds were photogenic that morning but the actual sunrise was blah..... Oh, well, I couldn't complain too much, the shooting conditions while I was there for 2 days were actually excellent overall.

Joshua,
Spectacular capture. I can hardly wait for what will you serve us for breakfast on your next trip to San Francisco.
Very best wishes,
Henryk

Beautifully done Joshua. It was worth the hike up to get this view .
