Thanks Douglas!. That was a 3-shot exposure blended (-2, 0, 2)...I set exposure bracketing as a memory dial at the top for easy access when needed.
The scene's dynamic range exceeded the capability of the sensor.
Thanks for the info, Fred. I didn't know you could set the memory dial to do bracket shots... Will try that.
I used to own the Sigma 135mm when I had my Nikon camera. It was fantastic! I’m sure the Sony 135GM will run neck and neck with the Sigma. I plan on going back to the Sigma 135mm. However I most likely won’t use it for portraits, I prefer my Sigma 105mm f/1.4 art for portraits.

Is the new GM 135mm worth giving up the Sigma for the price difference of $1K+?

Thanks! I love the results of the Sigma but the lure of the new GM lens is so strong... . I just put the Sigma on the chopping block since I am on the pre-order list for the GM 135mm now. But the GM lens won’t be available until the end of April, there is ample time for me to think about my decision and possibly to change my mind . So, I am thinking out loud by posting images taken with that lens...
Talking about 135mm, here Lili with Samyang 135 f2 at WO... of course a manual lens not comparable to Sigma Art or the new GM but IMO a great value for money.

Nice ones.
If that lens didn't have the odd flare issue, and if there was less unit-to-unit variability, it would be a rock star in it's price range.
Joshua, you have a knack for being in front of amazing sights and making beautiful photos out of them. So prolifically artistic that I think you (I would add Werner and Ronny to this conjecture) are not really an individual but a large collective of many artists operating under one name.
Thanks for sharing here on FM!

Birdie, thank you very much.
Your closeup images are amazing, Birdie! I anticipated that you would make that macro lens sing and you did! And tracking of flying bees? Wow - that’s truly awesome!
