I had this lens with my Contax G/G2 during the film days and indeed, it was a stellar performer. Optically, that lens is great, in other words but I am more interested in your opinion of the AF speed and accuracy of that Contax lens with the Techart Adapter. Do you have a Metabones Mark III adapter that you can use with a Canon EF lens of comparable focal length? How is the AF speed and accuracy of the two? Are they comparable or do you feel the Contax Techart combo is maybe better?
Thanks,
Joshua
AF speed is pretty slow, but very accurate.
The only problem I have with the adapter is that the body and the lens goes dummy from time to time, so I have to remount the lens when it happens.
If they come up with a solution for that problem, i think it is a winner.
I've never used metabones MkIII adapters, so I can't comment on your other question.
Inspired by Sculptormic / Michiel and his prism filter images, I went out a bought a bunch of cheap "multi image" filters and started playing around with them.
Turns out the prisms have very different effects on different lenses, at different focal lengths, and at different apertures -- so there's a lot of creative choices to make when using them.
Even my 15 year old son who usually scoffs at any aggressive effects (he calls them "too Instagrammy") thinks these turned out fun, so that's something.
All on the A7r with CY Zeiss 28mm and 35mm, Minolta MD 35-70mm f3.5, and even some (carefully carefully) made with the Leica R 28mm f2.8 v2.

hi Peter, thanks.
250mm is more rare and absolutely interesting lens (short!), renowed for it's unique bokeh. Buy it!
one day , please send a pic of your dog :-)
ciao
Hi RoxSan
You asked me to:
a) buy the Minolta 250mm lens
and
b) send a pic of the dog
So here are two quick test shots with the lens, including one of the dog. Focus not quite spot on with both I think, or suffering from being hand held, but I can't take any more shots at the moment as the adapter was too tight and has been sent back.

Thanks! Yeah these filters have a very 70's / Pink Floyd feel to them. My son asked me what on Earth they were for, why were they made, and who used them? So on YouTube I showed him the acid trip scene from Easy Rider. No actual prism filters in that, but the same aesthetic. He got it (although he said, "wow, movies used to be bad").

You are correct!
