Thank you.. I’ve definitely taken better shots of M42 when I was in the Austin area, I could easily find darker skies. This was a single exposure, which all of my shots usually are, but this time light pollution kicks in pretty quickly.

Terrific shots on this page by Douglas and toshiro! That Washington D.C. shot is really remarkable.

One of the biggest problems shooting multiple AOV for the same subject is choosing which "did it best". (Maybe the tighter version slightly edges out the wide version?)

Thank you very much Jim.
It's challenging to post a picture of a corridor after Rene's. I am starting to explore more the "old" architectures in Washington DC. Here is the corridor of the Union Station, 48 shots using the Smooth Reflection app to make the people passing by disappear.

Does it quality as the most colorful and most beautiful duck? What do you think? In a relaxed position...
Yes, Joshua, you have the Top Duck there! Great shot with all the colorful parts showing.

Rene and Douglas -- Terrific "corridor" shots!
Toshiro -- Thank you for posting larger image of your terrific work -- please keep it up!
Geoff -- Always original wildlife captures!
Alfredo -- The library view and church interior are amazing -- such different subjects excellently portrayed.
Todd -- Wow! Those astro shots are impressive.

Here's an example of why I like the Loxia 35. File malleability, and in Technicolor, no less! Hope this is still in the believable range and not too flame-buoyant.
Maybe when switching from Canon to Sony on 2013/14 I should have not sold 300/2.8L, I miss it quite often. Now Zeiss APO-Sonnar 2/135 is my only lens to get large distance subject vs. background separation. 300/2.8L was great lens for this kind of scenes, taking 10-20 shots and stitching them to panorama. Now 300/2.8L is so expensive that I see no point buying one.

Few test shots with Sigma 50 Art while I was trying to figure out "what is optimal aperture for landscapes in case I don't need to try to get foreground into DOF". Feels weird to shoot landscapes @ f/2.8, but with this lens I could not see any improvement on sharpness or contrast closing down more, and improvements on vignetting were also small.

Kim, if these water bugs are the same thing as water beetles, they taste great when deep fried.. It's a delicacy in certain parts in Asia. (Not my pictures)

Yummm. Next time I'll take a net
Yesterday was a rainy day and some took it better than others (supposedly, vultures can't fly when their feathers are wet):
