Samuli...I know how you're feeling with a CPL on the 35-70's rotating front element. So I went out and took some shots at the beach with the same setup!

I would enjoy to see more landscapes from you, I can understand the appeal more intimate scenesbut I like landscapes with nice light better .
And I feel that you have gained control over the camera for quite a while now after struggling with it a bit in the beginning.

Love it Samuli. I like how this pic is quite dark and I'm guessing quite reflective of what you actually saw at that moment.... Sometimes I have a bad habit of trying to boost the shadows too much in scenes such as this.
Thanks Gary - I try avoid boosting shadows too much, as it makes photo dull.
One lens, which haven't been discussed much or many photos shown is Carl Zeiss Sonnar T* 3.5/100 C/Y. I also sometimes forget how nice it is. Otherwise this lens is quite ordinary Contax era lens, but it does one thing, which most lenses don't: it's wide open boke seems to be as good as it gets from quality (notice "quality", forget quantity) point of view. Boke texture is nice and smooth, and light concentration in boke highlights is even over the whole hightlight ball/circle. I'm not theory expert, but this might be because wide open tangential and sagittal MTF lines follow each another very closely. At f/5.6 tangential and sagittal lines differ quite a lot. Link to only place where I found Zeiss MTF PDF in addition to my hard drive.
Also it's sharp enough (for me at least) wide open, which can also be seen from MTF: 40lpm line in MTF is from center to corner all the time between 50 and 60, and 20&10 lpm lines are very high all the time. As a bonus this lens is quite small and has C/Y "standard" 55mm filter size. Only bad thing is that it only focuses to 1m.
Generally people prefer Sonnar 2.8/85 instead based on earlier forum discussions, but I had both and I prefer 3.5/100. It's tough choice between C/Y 2.8/85, G 2.8/90 and C/Y 3.5/100 Sonnars, and won't make it any easier to add Leica Elmarit-R 90 into mix... I like this kind of "positive issues", too many good to choose from
Carl Zeiss Sonnar T* 3.5/100 C/Y @ f/3.5, between 1/10s and 1/2s, Sony A7 @ ISO 100, B+W Circular Polarizer 55mm
