There are white pelicans at the wildlife refuge I frequent. I have taken images of them in flight as they land and take off, of them swim around but at the last visit, this guy was "gliding" silently as if it was showing off its plumage. The distance from where I setup my gear was virtually frame filling, too. Although captured using the A9 with its 24MP sensor but the details of this pelican is incredible. I didn't do any in-depth editing using PS; instead just minimal editing and strictly using LR and I chose it to be on the lighter/softer side, too...
Here are a couple from the storm we had last week that caused minor flooding and some trees down. The tree here is normally not in water.
And yes we do have some autumn in Florida.
Smoke shrouding the Sunset District in San Francisco during the worst of the Camp Fire several weeks ago. Air flow funneled the smoke from the fire, which was over 150 miles away, directly over the Bay Area, where it sat for days. Was reported to be the worst air quality in the entire world the day this photo was taken. Felt apocalyptic. Rains came a week later and scrubbed the skies clean and helped douse the fire.
View to the West at sundown. The Pacific Ocean is just two miles away (below the setting sun) but invisible in the smoke.
Some test shots with the Sigma 150-600 C + A7RIII
New camera, so some of the settings I keep inadvertently changing - which is how I imagine I ended up with ISO 32000.
