Weather really hasn't been cooperating since picking up the ZF lenses, but I am impressed with both - a couple from a walk today with the 21 Distagon -

Lots of impressive shots on those last two pages.
Johua: Great sequence of sharp shots. We've really come a long way with adapted long lenses.
Jim: Beautiful sunstar shining through the foliage.
Helena: Simply put, those shots are quite literally pure gold .
Rene: Great B&W shot of that mountain ridge. Looks like something one of the old masters took before the arrival of color film.
Here is a recent shot from a popular foliage spot in Southern Japan. You can tell that this was taken with the 55 1.8 (at f8), instead of a Zeiss lens, a there is less punch to the colorful leaves. I didn't want to push sliders too hard during PP. Still not sure whether more pop would have been a plus or the shot is just right the way it is. Thoughts are welcome. https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4902/32005259778_83d44decd3_b.jpg...Show more →
Thank you, Chris! It takes more luck, more so than skill if it is coming down to wildlife. But yes, you are correct, we have come a long way with adapting long lenses.
I would add more pop to the foliage and display the image a little bit larger. But that’s a great image nonetheless.
A couple of shots from Mission San Jose using the Canon 24mm TSE. I haven't shot much the past few months but I recently shot two missions in SATX as part of my work for a client that is handling the preservation and restoration of the Missions.
