Nothing special from me yet, not that I'm certain anything special is to come, but I'm excited to finally be able to post in this thread. Two of pets, one of some glass I'll be using on my A7, and one of the A7 itself with it's main dance partner, a G45 conversion project.
1. A7, G45
2. A7, G45. I am amazed how clean ISO 2500 looks.
3. A7, Pentax SMC-M 50/1.7 (Lenses are, from left to right, Contax G 45/2 in an MC Rokkor-PF 50/1.7 body, Canon FL 135/2.5, and Pentax SMC-M 28/2.8)
Sebboh, you had two pen 42mm f1.2's? You tricky devil
Seriously, I love the picture of your daughter.
I've come to the conclusion that the A7r's amazing resolution, dynamic range, small size, etc. are all welcome but secondary to me. For me, the A7r is all about Full Frame Mirrorless -- the ability to play with old lenses the way they were originally meant to be used.
In that spirit, I've lately been on a cheap zoom kick. I've bought and been happily using a Canon 35-135mm f3.5 (less than $100), a Minolta MD 35-70mm f3.5 macro ($50), a Minolta 70-210mm f4 "beercan" ($60), and a Minolta 28-135mm f4-4.5 "secret handshake".
The pictures below are all taken with a Minolta 35-70mm f4 AF "little beercan" which I picked up a couple of days ago for $30. When I read Fred Miranda writing that the $1200 FE 24-70mm makes a good 35-60mm lens, I was thinking well, for $30 this little guy makes a good 35-70mm lens!
In the spirit of a $30 lens I took it to a thrift store in a funky neighborhood. It has a very useful macro mode at 70mm.
Anyone want to buy a used piano?
And how's this crazy bird for detail, contrast, and lack of CA?

ha! no, i didn't have two. i've just been missing the wide open look of the one i sold you, so i bought a beater with some mild fungus. i figured i would only use it for special effects wide open so some subpar optics wouldn't harm much.
i very much agree about what makes the a7(r) so attractive btw.
Here are some images that I took last evening at near the ford of Jordan Creek, Trexler Nature Preserve, Schnecksville, PA. Images taken about an hour and 15 minutes before sunset to about 45 minutes before sunset with my tripod mounted A7r and my Minolta CLE MC 40mm f2 M-Rokkor lens and processed in LR5.4
