Joshua: Stunning, vibrant colors in that double frog shot. Are those guys poisonous?
a7r3 with my trusty Loxia 35.
This is a panorama shot of a motif that many Mac users may remember seeing a few years back. Partly because of Apple, this place has been a serious tourist attraction and particularly in summer the touristy crowdes make it hard to take pictures. Going in the very early morning after sunrise works too, but then the mosquitos and various other biting/sucking bugs of that area have far fewer targets, meaning the probability that you end up getting bitten increases. Been there, done that . https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1791/44029163171_db26f90cc0_o.jpg...Show more →
Thank you, Chris! Those particular frogs are not poisonous but there are several that are, living in the same habitat.
That's an impressive pano you got there! I switched to Mac about 10 years ago and I didn't remember seeing that image. It must have been prior to my time . Thanks for sharing

Finally got a close focus adapter back. Working with the VM 75/1.8. Wasn’t initally impressed looking through the viewfinder, but I like the results on a screen. F/2.8 seems to work quite well for close ups.

Very kind, thank you. I like your work too.
Just after 1:00am the Hon James L. Oderstar is about to take on a load of 25000 tons of taconite. Taken on the 7r3 and the great 35mm Zeiss Distagon ZM 1.4
Another one from the South Rim, clearing from a storm. It is astounding how few photographers there were, and this was in August. I am not complaining though

I have been using that Voigtlander 40mm f/1.2 lens mostly at wide open or close to wide open aperture. You did make that lens sing for landscapes stopped down; wonderful images of that village! That lens can act as a formidable landscape lens, too.
